The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has published draft Guidance specifying and explaining the application and arrangement of label elements on the hazard label for substances and mixtures, as set out in Titles III and IV of the classification, labelling and packaging (CLP) Regulation. The draft Guidance is aimed at manufacturers, importers, downstream users and distributors of substances and mixtures. The agency says the document goes beyond the chapters on hazard labelling presented in the introductory Guidance on CLP and its content will replace Part 5 on labelling and Annex V on the selection of precautionary statements of the Guidance on the application of the CLP criteria.
