ECHA announces launch of upgraded REACH-IT

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has released the upgraded version of REACH-IT. It includes new features such as group Classification and Labelling notifications, Legal Entity change and “cease manufacture” declarations. ECHA says the significant changes in terms of dossier submission relating to the version of REACH-IT are outlined in a series of revised manuals, which companies should refer to minimise failures.

REACH-IT 2.0 will only accept dossiers created in IUCLID 5.2, which is coherent with the classification, labelling and packaging (CLP) Regulation. In addition, the agency urges companies to use the new version of the Technical Completeness Check (TCC) plug-in tool (CW 23 March 2010). It says recent analysis of submissions indicates use of the TCC IUCLID plug-in substantially increases the chance of dossiers passing the completeness check.

From today invoices will only be sent onwards electronically via REACH-IT.
