The European Chemical Industry Council (CEFIC) has published a 15 page guide to explain the process of joint data submission under the REACH Regulation. The guide uses snapshots from the European Chemicals Agency REACH-IT system to show how to do this accurately.

The trade body notes that 2009 is the year in which most REACH registration dossiers will need to be prepared in order to meet the 30 November 2010 deadline for registration of high volume substances. Industry leaders are advising that in reality, this will mean that lead registrant dossiers will need to be submitted six months earlier so that individual registrants can subsequently also meet the deadline.
